Aegis Environmental has provided consulting services including geotechnical engineering and environmental services for the award-winning development, Rocketts Landing, in Richmond, VA for eight years.

Since 2003, under successive multi-year contracts, Aegis has assisted Prince William County (PWC) in the development and on-going expansion of an Environmental Management System (EMS) Program along with determining compliance with many complex environmental requirements. Initial tasks included conducting environmental compliance audits of some twelve activities (e.g., fleet maintenance, fueling stations, print shop, landfill & recycling operations, fire & police training facility, and buildings and grounds chemical storage & maintenance) and assisting with development of policies and procedures to address best management practices and/or regulatory issues, especially associated with waste handling procedures. Aegis has provided general environmental support to a Virginia power company under successive multi-year contracts since 2001. Projects for both Electric and Gas services have included air permitting and compliance, EMS development and gap analyses, EPCRA reporting, database development and management, SPCC plans, nutrient credits and offsets, visible emissions evaluations, training development and delivery, compliance audits, station and construction Environmental Compliance Coordinators (ECC) and Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plans.

For more than twenty-three years Aegis has provided Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) with general environmental engineering services. Since 2008 these services have been delivered through a VASCUPP contract vehicle initiated by VCU. Aegis has completed projects at both the Monroe main academic campus and the Medical College of VA (MCV) to involve most university operations to include: the steam plant and other utilities; numerous emergency generators, fuel oil tanks, used oil furnaces, an ethylene oxide sterilization facility, a biomass boiler, dining facilities, and industrial wastewater discharges. For three consecutive contract terms, Aegis provided a broad array of multi-media environmental consulting services to NAVFAC Washington throughout its area of responsibility (AOR). Under these contracts Aegis provided assistance in meeting statutory compliance requirements for all applicable environmental laws and regulations including air, water, hazardous materials, hazardous waste, solid waste, petroleum, oils and lubricants (POL), and pollution prevention to Naval and Marine Corps facilities in Virginia, Maryland and Washington D.C.
