Emily Chapin is the Training and eLearning Manager and Project Scientist II at Aegis, having joined the team in July 2022 after seven years of teaching AP Environmental Science and Earth Science in secondary education. During her tenure as an educator, she collaborated with the Virginia Department of Environmental Quality and the local Soil and Water Conservation District to create and curate engaging investigations for students, earning recognition as the Conservation Education Teacher of the Year.
With a robust foundation in instructional design, content delivery, and environmental compliance, Ms. Chapin specializes in regulatory and sustainability training, as well as eLearning development. She leverages tools such as the Articulate 360 suite, Microsoft Suite, and Canva to create impactful training programs and manages the Learning Management System to enhance learning experiences. Ms. Chapin has experience auditing Environmental Management Systems (EMS), developing EMS manuals and procedures, and conducting compliance audits. Her experience also includes greenhouse gas accounting and responding to disclosures, such as those required by CDP.
