  • B.S. obtained in 1962 (Mechanical Engineering), Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University,¬†Blacksburg, VA
  • M.C. obtained in 1966 (Commerce), University of Richmond

  • Class 1 Wastewater Works Operator License obtained in 1983

Mr. Wood has over 40 years experience in environmental affairs. He gained extensive experience in providing air quality support to power stations and project engineers while employed 16 years by Dominion Generation. There, his duties included the development of permit applications, compliance plans, compliance audits, regulatory guidance, emission estimates, and feasibility studies and reports to Virginia DEQ, West Virginia DEP and EPA.

Mr. Wood has over 24 years of chemical process and environmentally related experience in the manufacturing of synthetic fibers. This experience was obtained during his employment at DuPont where he served as a facility air and water environmental coordinator, lead waste treatment engineer, lead plant engineer for multi-million dollar environmental and energy projects, and performed engineering assignments in NylonR, NomexR and TeflonR areas.

Since joining Aegis in September of 2002, his work has included development of NSR and Title V air permit applications, control technology (BACT) analyses, assistance with continuous emissions monitoring systems, development of compliance assurance monitoring plans, applicability of the Boiler MACT requirements for compliance planning, oversight and coordination of source performance testing, and conducting EPA Method 9 Visible Emissions Evaluations. Projects have involved industrial, commercial, major academic institutions and large governmental installations.
